Faculty and Staff Members

It’s amazing to watch the rapid growth in children as they reach developmental milestones all on their own, with just the right amount of help from their teachers. Here are some brief bios from our faculty and staff.

Faculty

Barbara Ng

Barbara Ng is the site director and child care provider at our 445 Amazon Ave facility. She earned her Early Childhood Educator degree from City College of San Francisco, and has been working in this field for over ten years. She is a prominent leader in the early learning community and has won numerous awards for her services in the childcare industry.

Her work is established in the leadership academy of Family Child Care Quality Network. Barbara is fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Serena Tsang

Serena Tsang is the site director and child care provider at our 506 Silver Ave facility. Born and raised in San Francisco, her passion is coaching parents on how to build brilliant relationships with their children.

Serena graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Riverside in 2014, working as a behavior therapist for kids with autism shortly after she graduated, before moving back to San Francisco to operate Brilliant Kids. Serena is fluent in Cantonese and English.

One of her happiest and proudest moments in working with children was when she was reading a book to the child and after she finished reading, the child took a pause and then blurted out “I love you, Ms. Serena.”

Staff

Cho Tsang

Cho Tsang is a teacher at Brilliant Kids. He has been working at Brilliant Kids for almost 10 years. Cho is very patient with children and enjoys telling them stories. He also handles our accounting and finances.
